One of my papers that I wrote for English 101 was a rhetorical analysis paper. I chose this one because I probably used the most quotations in it. One of them was, "does a more equal marriage mean less sex?" I used this quote because I felt like it did the best job at explaining my entire paper. It asked the main question of my paper, and it helped me explain the other points of view in the article. I also used this quote because in the article that I chose to write my paper on, the very first person to be mentioned was one of the first people to ask this question.
Another quote I used in a different paper I wrote, was one from a Lilly Allen video. “You’ll find me in the studio and not in the
kitchen.” This was used to analyze Lilly's point of view about gender roles and gender stereotypes that are present today and have been for awhile. I used this quote to also help explain my point of view, and how I personally take that stereotype very personally and I think it is very offensive. both of these quotes helped me shape and organize my paper. They allowed me to expand more on the subject I was writing about.
